This event led to the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the multi-storey parking facility.

Formal charges have been brought against two men related to a luggage theft where a suspected irritant spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.

These accusations come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their suitcases taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, police said.

A young child was caught up in the incident during the incident. Several persons were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – which authorities stated was not part of a series and not considered a terror-related act – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
